econometrics and spatial analytics
We help communities understand their existing and potential role in the regional economy.
The public and private sector are grappling with how to identify and implement strategies for sustained economic success. Whether a transportation agency, local government or the private industry, sustained economic success requires the ability to leverage strengths and mitigate weaknesses to reach that success. Building on a wealth of rich data, we provide insights through the use of propriety econometric and spatial analytic diagnostic and evaluation tools to distill market based strengths and weakness.
From these insights we partner with community members to explore a range of solutions to position local governments for long term economic success. Our goal is to foster effective integration of economic analysis methods with traditional planning disciplines and develop tools and approaches that produce market-driven, economically realistic planning outcomes.
Space and place are an important factor in understanding how cities function. Spatial analysis examines how this interaction varies with attributes such as multimodal transportation networks and the density, diversity and design of development. From computational analysis of geographic patterns to finding optimum routes, site selection, and advanced predictive modeling, we use GIS tools like ArcGIS and other in-house tools to gain insights and translate those insights into trade-offs discussions and actionable strategies.
