Renaissance Planning once again participated in the Alpha House Challenge, an event to help raise money for the maternity-based residential program offered to pregnant and homeless women and teens and their children at Alpha House Tampa. The event took place on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Gadsden Park in south Tampa. The team consisting of the Renaissance Tampa Office ladies and their significant others placed 8th out of a total of 34 teams.
This year’s event consisted of eight field day type events ranging from tricycle races to a baby-biathlon where participants had to race with a baby stroller, toss wet diapers, and knock baby bottles off a post with a Frisbee. Out of the events, Renaissance had the second fastest volley pong time and third fastest giant croquet time. Unfortunately, due to inclement Florida weather the event was called early and Renaissance did not get a chance to complete two of the events, if we had I’m sure we would have placed even higher. There’s always next year!
