Tactful | Curious | Relentless

Nicole Estevez is the Vice President of Renaissance Planning, where she leads firm operations and oversees the delivery of complex, multi-agency planning contracts — on-call work with MPOs and state DOTs, transit-oriented development studies, and community-driven planning initiatives. Clients rely on her when a project demands technical precision, stakeholder alignment, and someone who delivers. A decade-plus at the intersection of planning rigor and strategic communication has made her the person you call when complexity needs to become clarity.

Her expertise spans transit-oriented development and communities (TOD/TOC), multimodal transportation planning, federal and state grant strategy, community engagement, and GIS-based analysis. She has managed pursuits and delivered work for MPOs, DOTs, transit authorities, county agencies, and community-based organizations across Florida and beyond.

Prior to Renaissance, Nicole served as a Project Manager and Research Manager at the Center for Urban and Environmental Solutions at Florida Atlantic University, where she led interdisciplinary research on placemaking and how people and vehicles move through urban environments. That foundation, research-driven and grounded in how people actually experience cities, shapes how she approaches every project.

Nicole is bilingual in English and Spanish, a distinct asset in South Florida's multicultural planning landscape, and brings a rare combination of analytical precision and community-level empathy to every engagement.

"When you first start off trying to solve a problem, the first solutions you come up with are very complex, and most people stop there. But if you keep going, and live with the problem and peel more layers of the onion off, you can often times arrive at some very elegant and simple solutions." — Steve Jobs

Nicole lives this. She doesn't stop at the first answer.
